Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is preparing to unveil a comprehensive new rewards programme for its leisure customers, marking a significant move in its strategy to boost customer retention and enhance the travel experience.
The programme, known as World360 Rewards, will be rolled out in Australia during the first half of the 2026 financial year and will be available across its major leisure brands, including Flight Centre, Cruiseabout and Travel Associates.
Rather than being limited to flights or hotel stays, the new programme will reward customers throughout their entire travel journey. FCTG has positioned World360 Rewards as a new engine for growth, underpinned by personalisation, enhanced customer engagement, and smarter use of data.
Designed with travellers—and the future—in mind
FCTG has committed significant investment into the development of the programme, establishing specialist teams and working with consultants to ensure a seamless experience for both customers and suppliers. The decision to launch World360 Rewards follows a record year for the company, with total transaction value reaching A$24.5 billion in FY25, highlighting the resilience of the leisure market despite global challenges.
The loyalty programme is expected to offer a competitive advantage by encouraging larger booking values, improving repeat business, and reactivating dormant customers. It will also enable closer collaboration with suppliers by leveraging deeper customer insights, potentially unlocking new commercial opportunities for partners.
Launch promotion promises three times the points
In addition to a triple-dip mechanic for fast-tracked travel, World360 Rewards members will also be able to unlock three times the points with selected partners as part of a launch incentive, leveraging its valued network of travel suppliers.
Airlines such as Air New Zealand and Fiji Airways; cruise lines including Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Regent Seven Seas and Viking cruises; touring category favourites such as Collette, Trafalgar and Contiki are among a host of 12 travel partners who are putting their best deals forward for World360 Rewards’ launch.
“These accelerated points earning boosters mean a member family booking a holiday with our participating travel partners can triple their points haul, significantly reducing the cost of future travel,” Mr Kavanagh said.
“This is where the magic happens.
“You can earn three times the World360 Rewards points and earn with your airline to maintain your status while also getting points with your credit card provider. No other program brings this together in one place.”
What it means for the travel trade
For the Australian travel trade, World360 Rewards represents an important development in how travel is sold and serviced. Travel agents across Flight Centre’s network will play a key role in introducing the rewards programme to clients, integrating it into booking conversations and showcasing its benefits as a value-add.
There is also potential for travel agents to use the rewards structure as a point of differentiation in a competitive marketplace—particularly by bundling offers or promoting exclusive reward opportunities. While details of the programme’s full structure, including points earning and redemption models, have yet to be released, the strategic direction is clear: FCTG is doubling down on customer experience and loyalty as key pillars of future growth.
World360 Rewards will initially focus on the Australian market, with the possibility of expanding internationally as the model is refined and tested.
