Fly to USA with Qantas for under $1000

Qantas has launched a major sale across its entire North and South American network, offering thousands of discounted seats for customers looking to book their next international getaway.

From today, customers can access discounted flights from most of Australia’s capital cities to key destinations in the Americas, including LA, New York, Dallas, San Francisco, Vancouver, Santiago, and Honolulu.

Economy return sale fares start from AUD$999 from Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne to Honolulu, with the inaugural service to Hawaii from Melbourne taking off on 1 May. Other standout fares include AUD$1,199 from Sydney and Melbourne to Los Angeles, AUD$1,399 from Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney to Vancouver, and AUD$1,799 from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane to Santiago.

The sale also includes fares from Sydney to Dallas Fort Worth, which from August will be serviced by the Qantas A380 for the first time since 2020.

Frequent flyer points offer

Frequent flyers also have the chance to use their points for discounted seats through Classic Plus Flight Rewards. Some example Classic Plus fares include:

  • Sydney to Honolulu return in Economy for 60,300 points (+ $392 in taxes, fees, and carrier charges)
  • Sydney to Los Angeles return in Economy for 80,700 points (+ $392 in taxes, fees, and carrier charges)
  • Melbourne to San Francisco return in Premium Economy for 177,400 points (+ $639 in taxes, fees, and carrier charges)
  • Sydney to Vancouver return in Business for 401,900 points (+ $1,271 in taxes, fees, and carrier charges)

Sale details

Qantas sale fares are for travel between 14 April 2025 and 29 January 2026, with select blackout dates. The sale is available until 11:59 pm (AEDT) on Wednesday 26 March 2025, unless sold out earlier.

Qantas CEO International, Cam Wallace, said, “We know Australians love to visit the Americas, and last year alone, we flew over half a million customers to destinations across North and South America. We have included some of our most popular routes in this sale, such as Santiago, LA, and New York, along with return fares to Honolulu starting from under $1,000.”
