Adventure travel specialist G Adventures has launched a new Rail Collection, introducing 60 curated train-based itineraries across 20 countries. From the snow-covered tracks of the Arctic Circle to bustling Asian cities and scenic European countrysides, the Rail Collection is designed for travellers who see the journey as an integral part of the experience—not just a way to get from A to B.
The new collection blends G Adventures’ signature small-group style with the magic of rail travel, offering active, culturally rich experiences that are both flexible and immersive. The trips span a variety of travel styles—from the comfort-focused Geluxe range to the sociable Solo-ish series—making them accessible to everyone from budget-conscious backpackers to comfort-seeking adventurers.
The joy of the journey
The Rail Collection replaces long-haul flights with scenic train rides, allowing travellers to explore landscapes often missed when flying. Whether it’s sharing a cabin with locals on a Vietnamese night train or watching the Polish countryside unfold from a second-class window seat, the collection offers a slower, more connected travel experience.
“Rail travel can be so much more than just a mode of transportation,” said Yves Marceau, Vice President of Product at G Adventures.
“It’s a gateway to responsible cultural exploration where the journey itself becomes a highlight.”
Each trip is led by a G Adventures Chief Experience Officer (CEO), ensuring stress-free planning and deeper local insight. Itineraries have been thoughtfully designed to support smaller communities, stopping at lesser-visited towns and villages where travellers can engage with local life and contribute to regional economies.
