GALTA, Australia’s LGBTQIA+ Travel Association, has strengthened its national leadership team following its 2025 Annual General Meeting, setting the organisation up for a focused and influential year ahead as it continues to champion inclusive travel across the country.
Board reappointments bring continuity and expertise
Members from around Australia attended the virtual AGM, where four Board members — Louise Terry, Rod Stringer, Dennis Basham and Andrew Bartholomew — were reappointed for a new term. They join existing Board members Ben Woodward and Mario Paez, creating a nationally representative leadership group with experience across destination marketing, aviation, finance, touring, partnerships and community engagement.
New portfolio responsibilities for 2026
Following the AGM, GALTA confirmed its portfolio leadership for the year ahead. The 2026 structure includes:
- Louise Terry – President and Company Secretary

Expanding grassroots representation
With inclusive tourism continuing to grow, GALTA acknowledged the important work of its regional representatives, who support operators and communities on the ground across key destinations:

Driving inclusive tourism forward
GALTA President Louise Terry said the refreshed leadership team brings a powerful combination of expertise, industry insight and passion for advancing LGBTQIA+ tourism.
