Guide for accessible travellers – across planes, trains & automobiles

Rental Car Protection has done the research and put together a handy guide for agents and their customers to provide the information needed to make travelling with mobility issues a whole lot easier. Focusing on major travel providers who operate in Australia, the guide highlights how to get the service you need and what to expect when using them – covering planes, trains and rental cars.

For example, do you know which airlines provide onboard wheelchairs or allow for a support animal? Did you know that some rental car companies, including Budget and Hertz, have models with hand control modifications?

Minimum requirements for what needs to be provided are outlined in the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, but different providers meet the requirements of the act in different ways.
