Happy Canada Day … eh

Grab that maple syrup and drench those pancakes and bacon because it is time to celebrate Canada Day.

Yes, today is known as Canada’s birthday as Canadians everywhere will celebrate Canada Day, commemorating the joining of Canada’s original three provinces, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and the provinces of Canada (now known as Ontario and Quebec) as the Dominion of Canada in 1867.

While we cannot travel to Canada right now, we can certainly help celebrate with all things Canada. Start with some tunes from famous Canadian music artists like Celine Dion, Alanis Morissette, Bryan Adams or even the Beebs or the Bubes.

Lose yourself in Canada’s colourful communities and get to know the inspiring local characters in the Canada’s Calling podcast. This 13-part podcast series follows hosts Mike and Ashley as they travel to every province and territory to connect with Canadians who are answering their calling. They weave together the stories of the people and the places that make each area of Canada unique and connect with the distinct communities across our country.

Brighten up your work day and daydream about when you can get to Canada with these stunning images from across country to add Canada to your virtual Zoom meetings, or add some fun to your text conversations with some Canada GIFs.

Or, kick back with some all-Canadian Netflix viewing, such as Anne with an E, set on picturesque Prince Edward Island in Canada’s eastern maritime region, or the hilarious, award-winning Schitt’s Creek.

Either way, you won’t be sorry celebrating a bit of Canada’s best today.
