Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is preparing to mark a major milestone as it celebrates its 20th anniversary, with a year-long party set to kick off on 28 June 2025.
The celebrations were previewed this week with the “20th Anniversary Magical Red Carpet Party,” welcoming more than 500 media representatives, Disney fans, influencers, and content creators from across Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and the United States. An additional 300 selected Magic Access Members also had the chance to get a first look at the upcoming festivities.
In true Disney style, Mickey Mouse, Duffy and Friends, and a host of Disney favourites walked the red carpet at Main Street, U.S.A. during a one-day-only fashion showcase. Characters showed off dazzling new 20th anniversary party outfits, while cast members modelled exclusive themed merchandise. The event also featured a performance of the new anniversary anthem The Most Magical Party of All.
Michael Moriarty, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, said the 20th anniversary celebrations would deliver a spectacular year of Disney magic.
“We’re thrilled to kick off The Most Magical Party of All on June 28,” he said.
“This milestone celebration will be filled with immersive entertainment, extraordinary moments, and boundless Disney magic and surprises — we cannot wait to welcome everyone from around the globe to HKDL’s most unforgettable celebration yet.”
Paul Rivet, Executive Director of Entertainment at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, said guests would enjoy an exciting day-to-night celebration across the park.
“Our 20th anniversary showcases how Disney entertainment has evolved to new heights,” Rivet said.
“Guests can expect three unmissable experiences — a brand-new castle stage show, the largest-ever parade in HKDL’s history, and the grandest nighttime spectacular the park has ever seen.”
The Most Magical Party of All promises to deliver new entertainment, extraordinary experiences, and special moments, ensuring the 20th anniversary will be a celebration to remember.
