Hotel Review: Adina Hotel Sydney Chippendale

Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Chippendale is the perfect choice for business and leisure clients visiting Sydney. It recently had a dramatic multi-million dollar refurbishment, transforming into a breath of fresh air in a gritty, urban context.

The 42-room apartment-style hotel, operated by TFE Hotels, is located on Ivy Street on the southern edge of Sydney’s CBD, making it easily accessible to Sydney’s CBD and all the sights for leisure travellers. This address in Chippendale is amongst converted warehouses, cool cafes, hawker-style eateries, and galleries clustered between terraced houses and retail outlets.

The hotel’s distinctive architecture and cute centralised courtyard and pool inspired the retro-feel interior design, which oozes a stylish beach chic feel you wouldn’t expect to find in inner Sydney. There is an outdoors courtyard with a stylish pool to cool off in.

Your client’s stay will include free unlimited high-speed WiFi at 1 Mbps speed for up to four devices per room, with a higher speed upgrade option for unlimited devices available at AU$9.95 per 24 hours.

Adina Sydney Chippendale is equipped with an on-site gym and an outdoor swimming pool, operating from 7.00am to 9.30pm. There is a barbeque facility also available in the gorgeous leafy courtyard area. Parking is available for AU$25 per night, on-site and undercover, but note the maximum vehicle height is 1.9m.

The rooms range from the Executive Studio Room to the Apartments (one, two and three bedrooms), making it perfect for any type of traveller.

Matching the exterior of the hotel’s natural materials and lots of white, the rooms use bleached-out colours of calming sage greens, musky pinks and dove greys that are complimented by the funky design and use of furnishings, like bold curtains, terrazzo in the bathrooms and kitchens, and retro-inspired furniture and fixtures.

Being an Adina property, the rooms are perfect for longer stays as they come fully equipt with a kitchen, laundry in the bathroom and daily service.

The Dining

Here you can grab a freshly brewed coffee or get breakfast and lunch. If you are looking for dinner options, the staff at the hotel are more than happy to recommend the best places to dine and drink with their local insider knowledge or to provide you with a variety of in-room dining options.

While there are no set conference rooms, it is the place to hold an intimate event. The leafy courtyard is the best spot to unwind, relax and connect with the local area. From cocktail parties, and birthday celebrations, to even a wedding held under the stars, it’s pretty much the perfect alfresco area for any event. Then after the event, you don’t have to get an Uber home, simply book accommodation at the hotel for the perfect sleep over.
