Perfectly positioned in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, The Westin Brisbane combines sophisticated city luxury with the brand’s renowned focus on wellbeing.
Just moments from the Queen Street Mall, the Botanic Gardens and Brisbane River, it’s an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers wanting to experience the best of Queensland’s capital. While its central location places the city’s restaurants, shopping and cultural attractions on your doorstep, the hotel’s resort-style facilities create a welcome oasis where it’s easy to forget you’re in the middle of a bustling city.
From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional and effortless. The contemporary interiors are elegant without feeling overly formal, and every space has been thoughtfully designed to encourage guests to relax, recharge and enjoy a slower pace despite the city setting.
The rooms

I stayed in a Westin Club Room, and the experience immediately felt elevated thanks to the exclusive access to the Westin Club Lounge. The room itself was spacious, contemporary and beautifully appointed, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that filled the space with natural light and offered views across Brisbane’s skyline.
The signature Westin Heavenly® Bed lived up to its reputation, delivering one of the best nights’ sleeps I’ve had in a hotel, and the complimentary Sleep Well Lavender Balm definitely helped with that. Crisp white linens, plush pillows and thoughtful lighting created a calming retreat after a busy day exploring the city. The marble bathroom featured a generous walk-in rain shower, luxurious White Tea amenities, and oversized bathrobes that added to the feeling of indulgence.

A dedicated workspace, coffee machine, complimentary bottled water and fast Wi-Fi made the room equally suited to business travellers and holidaymakers alike. It’s a room designed with comfort and functionality in mind, allowing guests to seamlessly switch between work, relaxation and sleep.
The Westin Brisbane offers a variety of accommodation options, from King Beds and Doubles for those seeking twin bedding to rooms with City views. Guests seeking an enhanced experience should consider a Westin Club Room, which includes exclusive lounge access and a range of premium benefits throughout their stay.
The dining

One of the standout benefits of staying in a Westin Club Room is access to the exclusive Westin Club Lounge. Located on an upper floor, the lounge provides a peaceful retreat away from the bustle of the hotel and quickly became one of my favourite places to unwind.
Each evening, the lounge hosts complimentary drinks and canapés, with a generous selection of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks accompanied by an impressive array of hot and cold canapés. The quality and variety were excellent, making it an enjoyable pre-dinner experience or, for many guests, a satisfying light evening meal while overlooking the city skyline.
Breakfast in the Club Lounge was equally impressive. Rather than navigating a busy restaurant, guests can enjoy a quieter, more personalised start to the day with a selection of hot breakfast dishes, pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, juices and barista-style coffee. The relaxed atmosphere made breakfast feel far more exclusive and leisurely.

Beyond the Club Lounge, dining at The Westin Brisbane offers something for every occasion, whether you’re looking for a relaxed breakfast, an elegant dinner or a cocktail by the pool.
For guests wanting a more elevated dining experience, Batica Dining showcases the very best of Australian produce, celebrating premium ingredients sourced from local farmers, growers and producers. The menu changes with the seasons, highlighting fresh local flavours in a contemporary setting that’s ideal for both breakfast and dinner.
The Charles is much more than a hotel lobby bar. Inspired by Australia’s aviation pioneers, this sophisticated venue seamlessly transitions from artisan coffee in the morning to boutique wines, handcrafted cocktails and an all-day dining menu featuring both share plates and substantial meals. With stylish indoor and outdoor seating, it’s a wonderful spot to meet friends or simply relax with a drink after a day in the city.
If you’re spending the afternoon by the pool, Nautilus Pool Bar is a must. As Brisbane’s only swim-up pool bar, it delivers genuine resort vibes in the middle of the CBD. Guests can enjoy refreshing cocktails, light meals and snacks without leaving the water, making it one of the hotel’s signature experiences. For those preferring to dine in the privacy of their room, 24-hour in-room dining is also available, offering a convenient selection of restaurant-quality meals at any time of day
Spa & wellness

Wellbeing sits at the heart of The Westin experience, and the Brisbane property is no exception. Guests have access to the award-winning Heavenly Spa by Westin™, offering a range of massages, facials and body treatments designed to restore both body and mind.
The resort-style Nautilus Pool is one of the hotel’s signature features. Complete with a swim-up bar, poolside cabanas and lush tropical landscaping, it feels remarkably removed from the surrounding CBD and creates a genuine resort atmosphere in the middle of the city.
The hotel also features the WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio, equipped with modern cardio and strength-training equipment for guests wishing to maintain their fitness routine while travelling.
Hotel Facilities

The Westin Brisbane offers an impressive range of facilities that cater equally well to business travellers and holidaymakers. The resort-style pool and swim-up bar provide a unique city escape, while the Heavenly Spa and fully equipped fitness centre offer plenty of opportunities to relax and recharge.
Business travellers are well catered for with extensive meeting and event facilities, modern conference spaces and executive services. Concierge assistance is available to help arrange local experiences, restaurant reservations and transport, while valet parking adds an extra level of convenience.
Its central location is another major advantage, placing guests within easy walking distance of Queen Street Mall, Eagle Street Pier, South Bank, Howard Smith Wharves and many of Brisbane’s best restaurants and bars.

As part of Marriott Bonvoy, The Westin Brisbane allows members to earn and redeem points during their stay while enjoying a range of member benefits. Depending on membership status, guests may also receive room upgrades, late check-out, bonus points and exclusive member rates. Frequent travellers will appreciate the opportunity to earn rewards while enjoying one of Brisbane’s premier luxury hotels.
