Australia’s iconic Indian Pacific has resumed its journeys after almost a year on hiatus due to COVID-19.
The all-inclusive rail expedition, that travels between Perth and Sydney, covering 4,352 kilometres, will again be taking guests on a three-night, four-day journey from coast to coast. Guests will enjoy great hospitality, food and wine, and Off Train Excursions to iconic locations like the Blue Mountains.
Journey Beyond Chief Commercial Officer Peter Egglestone said it was very exciting to see the Indian Pacific depart Adelaide on its first leg in nearly a year.
“We were extremely fortunate to celebrate the Indian Pacific’s 50th anniversary in February 2020 before the various state border closures occurred in March, and the 12 months since represents the longest period the Indian Pacific hasn’t made its twice-weekly journeys across the country.
“With guests starting to gain confidence booking travel again, our forward bookings are strong with 2021 selling quickly, so I encourage anyone who wishes to travel this year to contact our team quickly to secure a cabin on one of the world’s great rail journeys.
