Interrail has launched a sale offering 50 per cent off selected long-duration Global Passes, running from 24 to 30 September 2026, as part of its new global brand platform “The Interrail Effect.”
Sale follows global rebrand from Eurail

The promotion is the first major campaign since the company’s rebrand from Eurail to Interrail, positioning the brand around slower, longer-duration European rail travel rather than fast-paced itinerary hopping. All other Interrail Passes, including shorter-duration Global Passes and One Country Passes, are discounted 15 per cent during the same period, with second-class passes included in the sale.
Interrail chief brand and commercial officer Ozlem Birkalan said the campaign encouraged travellers to build flexibility into their itineraries.
“Spending longer on the continent often creates space for the unexpected – discovering a village that wasn’t on the itinerary, accepting a recommendation from someone you’ve just met, or deciding to stay an extra day because you’ve fallen in love with a place,” Birkalan said.
Passes carry 11-month activation window

Purchased passes have an 11-month window from date of issue to activate for travel. Additional discounts apply for senior travellers aged 60 and over and youth travellers aged 12 to 27, while up to two children aged 4 to 11 can travel free per adult pass. Australian travel agents can purchase Interrail Passes through Rail Europe and its agent network, Klook, and other official Interrail distributors.
