Intrepid Travel has launched a new open-source industry resource showing how B Corp certification has contributed to its commercial success. The guide outlines how Intrepid’s commitment to responsible business has led to measurable benefits including improved staff retention, cost savings, and new financial opportunities.
The resource is aimed at travel trade professionals seeking to understand how purpose-led practices can enhance governance, brand value, and stakeholder trust, while also contributing to profitability.
Purpose meets profit
Since becoming B Corp certified in 2018, Intrepid has consistently raised its impact, achieving a record recertification score of 102.5 in 2025, up from 91.2 in 2021. The new guide explores how this has translated into real business value across key areas such as strategic partnerships, employee engagement and customer education.
“Becoming a B Corp has helped hold us accountable to always doing better. At the same time, it’s helped us unlock tangible benefits – from cost savings and purpose-driven talent attraction to deepening stakeholder trust,” said Rochelle Turner, Intrepid’s Global B Corp Impact Manager.
The company’s purpose-first culture has also had a notable impact on staff engagement, with 80 per cent of employees citing the company’s values as a key reason for staying.
Financial impact and industry leadership
In 2024, Intrepid reported record results, with revenue increasing 17 per cent to $626 million. Its employee profit-sharing scheme delivered a $12.8 million bonus payout, further reinforcing the link between business performance and purpose-led practices.
