Jetstar ramps up Seoul flights with sale fares from $269

Jetstar has boosted its flight frequency to South Korea and launched a special South Korea Sale, offering one-way fares from just $269.

From 17 June 2025, the low-cost carrier will operate daily flights between Sydney and Seoul (Incheon), in addition to three weekly services from Brisbane—making Jetstar the largest carrier between Australia and South Korea.

Strong demand drives expansion

Since launching its Sydney–Seoul route in October 2022, Jetstar has carried over 240,000 passengers on the route. Its newer Brisbane–Seoul service, which commenced in February 2024, has already attracted more than 100,000 travellers. The increase to daily Sydney flights adds an extra 100,000 seats annually, bringing Jetstar’s total to more than 340,000 seats a year between the two nations.

“We’ve seen strong demand for our direct flights from Sydney and Brisbane to the South Korean capital, Seoul,” said Jenn Armor, Executive Manager, Customer at Jetstar.

“With the launch of daily flights from Sydney to Seoul this week, we’ll offer another 100,000 seats a year on the route, helping our customers to take off more with low fares.”

South Korea Sale now on

Coinciding with the capacity boost, Jetstar has partnered with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) to launch a limited-time fare sale. Available until 23:59 AEST on Sunday, 22 June 2025 (unless sold out earlier), the sale includes:

  • Brisbane to Seoul from $269
  • Sydney to Seoul from $309
  • Melbourne (Avalon) to Seoul via Sydney from $378
  • Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Seoul via Sydney from $405

Travel periods vary by route, spanning from early July 2025 to March 2026.

Jetstar was the first low-cost airline to offer direct flights between Sydney and Seoul and continues to respond to growing demand—particularly from Korean travellers, now one of the top five international visitor groups at Sydney Airport.
