LATAM Airlines adds more flights ex MEL

LATAM Airlines, South America’s largest airline, has increased its direct flights from Melbourne to Santiago from three to four times a week. The additional flight is in place until April 2025, providing even greater access for Australians to the vibrant and diverse continent of South America.

The announcement follows the recent return of LATAM’s direct Sydney to Santiago route in late October, which has been warmly welcomed by travellers.

With South America poised to be one of the hottest destinations in 2025, the increased Melbourne flights are perfectly timed. The region’s rich culture, world-class cuisine, historic landmarks, and breathtaking landscapes are driving its growing popularity among Australian travellers.

Melbournians can now enjoy more frequent and convenient travel to South America, with the flight to Santiago taking under 13 hours. This shorter journey offers a more appealing alternative to the lengthy travel required to reach Europe, making Latin America an increasingly attractive option for Australian adventurers.
