Lindblad Expeditions new dive-centric expedition cruises

National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has introduced a limited series of adventure cruise charters exploring Komodo and Raja Ampat aboard Aqua Blu.

The 28-guest Aqua Expeditions-owned Aqua Blu has 14 individually designed suites and is small enough to visit Indonesia’s more remote islands, hidden coves and legendary dive sites, all while guests enjoy world-class hospitality. The first long-range ocean explorer yacht based in East Indonesia, Aqua Blu has five decks, indoor and al fresco dining areas, an outdoor wellness area and hot tub, stylish lounge, and a day spa offering traditional Balinese treatments. Activities include snorkeling, kayaking, and diving offered at no extra cost for up to 10 certified divers at a time.

According to Trey Byus, Chief Expedition Officer, Lindblad Expeditions; “Our guests are naturally curious and drawn to places that inspire discovery, and the addition of Aqua Blu will allow us to bring our travellers even closer to the wild beauty and rich cultural heritage of Indonesia like never before”.

Indonesia’s Coral Gardens and Komodo Dragons (15 Days)

Beginning in October 2026, this expedition includes a visit to Komodo National Park, home to the world’s largest lizard, the Komodo dragon, diving and snorkeling in the waters of Taka Bonerate National Park and the Banda Sea. Along the way, guests will have opportunities to kayak through mangrove forests, engage with local communities, and deepen their understanding of conservation initiatives through expert-led discussions.

Indonesia’s Spice Islands and Raja Ampat (15 Days)

Sailing through Indonesia’s Spice Islands, this expedition, debuting November 2026, blends cultural discovery with unrivaled marine exploration. Guests will snorkel and dive the most biodiverse coral reefs in the world in Raja Ampat, encounter centuries-old rock art in Misool’s lagoons, and explore historic nutmeg plantations that once shaped global trade. Visits to traditional villages, hidden waterfalls, and remote volcanic islands provide a glimpse of the rich traditions and diverse landscapes of the region.

With the addition of Aqua Blu, and its new dive-centric itineraries, Lindblad Expeditions’ fleet now consists of 22 mission-built expedition ships.
