After 15 years at the helm of Austrian National Tourist Office (ANTO), Ms Petra Stolba has passed the baton to Ms Lisa Weddig effective 1 June 2021.
Lisa Weddig is one of the top tourism managers in Europe, who has over more than 10 years of leadership experience in the industry and had been CEO of TUI Austria (TUI is the largest leisure travel and tourism company in the world) since 2015. She was responsible for Austria and Central European markets and lead a team of 650. She was chosen to bring her experience, strategic development skills, and innovative communication approaches to ANTO, in a time where we fully need to support the Austrian tourism industry during its restart.
Lisa Weddig has spent one year of her career working in Melbourne and has a good understanding of the market as well as fond memories of her time in down-under. When it comes to visitors from Australia to Austria, we look forward to welcoming Australian travellers as soon as borders open and international travel resumes.”
