LUX announces Festive packages

LUX* Resorts and Hotels has unwrapped a series of festive packages for Christmas and New Year holidaymakers at its exclusive properties in Mauritius, the Maldives and China.

LUX* North Male Atoll – Maldives
Fresh from its recent recognition at the 2019 Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, where within its first year of operation LUX* North Male Atoll was named among the ‘Top 30 Resorts in the Indian Ocean’, the property has revealed a lively schedule for the forthcoming celebratory season.

An intimate resort featuring 67 dual-storey designer residences, each with private pools and Sky Lounges, LUX* North Male Atoll is setting the standard for jet-set island living with its international fine dining, overwater spa, swimming pools, yoga, snorkelling safaris, cooking classes, beach volleyball, private yacht charters and high-octane watersports.

Festive highlights at LUX* North Male Atoll include a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the beach, arts and crafts in Santa’s workshop, gingerbread house decorating at Glow Bar, Christmas cake decorating, seasonal-themed kids’ activities, a special Santa welcome on the sand on Christmas Day, and a White Christmas Gala Dinner.

A one-bedroom water villa at LUX* North Male Atoll is priced from AUD$4,905 per night, while a one-bedroom deluxe water villa is priced from AUD$5,395 per villa per night. Prices are valid from 24 December 2019 to 7 January 2020, and domestic round-trip transfers start from $575 per adult.

LUX* South Ari Atoll- Maldives
Set on the picture-perfect island of Dhidhoofinolhu, and home to 193 private villas, a 5-star PADI dive centre offering easy access to resident whale sharks, turtles and manta rays, two infinity pools, an indulgent spa and multiple eateries and bars, LUX* South Ari Atoll will blend desert-island chic with a spirited schedule of activities this silly season.

Highlights include family-friendly favourites such as chocolate and Christmas-tree making, beachside carol singing, art workshops and festive-themed bingo and quiz nights, as well as a choice of multi-course dinner or laidback buffet dining on Christmas Day, and a New Year’s Eve gala dinner and party under the stars.

A beach pavilion villa at LUX* South Ari Atoll is priced from AUD$2,530 per night. Prices are valid from 24 December 2019 to 8 January 2020, and domestic round-trip seaplane transfers start from AUD$565 per adult.

LUX* Belle Mare – Mauritius
Epitomising idyllic island life, LUX* Belle Mare puts a fresh twist on high-end hospitality, with interiors designed by Kelly Hoppen, an indulgent LUX* Me Spa perfect for pampering, cosmopolitan dining options and the island’s largest swimming pool.

LUX* Grand Gaube – Mauritius

Festive events at LUX* Tea Horse Road hotels include a warm welcome to Santa on Christmas Eve, a ‘tree of wishes’ ceremony, paddock-to-plate Christmas Eve dinner, cultural performances and mulled wine to set the mood. Visit between late December and early January to catch a one-of-a-kind performance at the Cham Dance Festival, when masked monks dance to traditional Tibetan music.

On New Year’s Eve, enjoy heartfelt Chinese hospitality with a gala dinner, official countdown, performances and fireworks, or choose to stay for Chinese New Year later in January and experience the ‘God of Fortune’ welcome, cultural performance, a divine dinner and fabulous fireworks.

A five-day stay at LUX* Tea Horse Road including full-board, airport transfers and immersive excursions is AUD$1,890 per guest, with an additional AUD$220 per guest payable for stays over Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve or Chinese New Year’s Eve.
