People are still planning their travel ready for when restrictions ease, according to a luxury home hotel service Luxico.
Luxico CEO and co-founder, Alexandra Ormerod, said they have seen a 138 percent increase in travel inquiries on the same time last year.
Restrictions could ease from this Friday according to the Prime Minister who announced last week that Australians have ‘earned an early mark’ and Australians are desperate for reprieve from isolation.
“People have had more time on their hands than ever before, to meticulously plan their post-isolation escapes. As a result, we’ve seen a huge influx of inquiries into the smallest of details, like how exactly a BBQ in one of our homes works,” Alexandra Ormerod said.
With domestic travel bans to lift long before international, local tourism communities are eagerly anticipating a much-needed boost as they bounce-back from Bushfires and COVID-19 closures.
Other trends the luxury accommodation group have noticed include people having the time to hunt for the best deals available, so are shopping around rather than revisiting previous stays and researching flexibility plans and reading contracts more closely.
“Guests won’t lose a deposit with Luxico, and there are incredible discounts and deals everywhere if you can get in early before the rush,” Alexandra Ormerod added.
