Malaysia Airlines held its Elite Trade Partner Evening at Crown Sydney, bringing together around 100 travel advisors, agency partners and industry stakeholders to recognise top-performing trade partners across Australia and New Zealand.
Recognition event pairs with network updates

The event combined recognition of Malaysia Airlines’ leading trade partners with updates on the airline’s network, product and commercial plans, reinforcing its positioning of Kuala Lumpur as a connecting hub to Asia, India and beyond for ANZ travellers.
Malaysia Aviation Group chief commercial officer of airline business Dersenish Aresandiran said trade partners remained central to the airline’s regional strategy. “As we enhance our products, expand connectivity and elevate the customer experience, our trade partners remain central to our growth strategy,” Aresandiran said.
Recent network changes underpin ANZ growth push

The airline pointed to recent network investment supporting its ANZ growth strategy, including increased Adelaide services earlier this year and Brisbane frequency rising from five to seven weekly flights from October, alongside deployment of the A330neo aircraft on relevant routes.
Malaysia Airlines also highlighted its Bonus Side Trip programme, which offers eligible international travellers a complimentary domestic flight to selected Malaysian destinations, supporting Visit Malaysia 2026, which has been extended through 2027.
