Myanmar Airways International (MAI) has appointed Airline Rep Services, a division of CVFR Travel Group as its GSA for Australia & New Zealand effective now.
MAI operates from its hub in Yangon and Mandalay, serving 18 routes across Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, China, Taiwan, South Korea and India with a fleet of 3 A319s and 1 A320 prior to COVID-19 pandemic.
The airline has approximately 12 percent of international seat capacity to and from Myanmar. As part of MAI’s ambitious growth plan, it plans to double its fleet size by end of 2020, with an additional 3 A320s and 4 Embraer E190s to be delivered in Q3 and Q4 2020 respectively.
Myanmar Airways International CEO, Saravanan Ramasamy welcomed the appointment of Airline Rep Services as the GSA for Australia and New Zealand, stating “we look forward to gain greater awareness in both of these countries.”
