Citilink, a subsidiary of Garuda, and Victoria’s Avalon Airport marked the Australia Day long weekend welcoming the inaugural Citilink flight from Denpasar, Bali to Melbourne.
Launching the airline’s new low cost daily direct service, Flight QG560 arrived at Avalon Airport on Saturday, 25 January 2020 with Avalon Airport CEO Justin Giddings and Avalon employees, together with Citilink Vice President of Sales and Distribution Mrs Amalia Yaksa on board the state-of-the-art Airbus A320NEO.
“This morning’s flight marks Citilink’s first flights into the eastern states of Australia, and we’re thrilled to be offering them a home here. For years Bali has been one of the most requested destinations from Avalon, and it is certainly one of the most popular for Victorians to fly to. We’re excited to provide people from Melbourne and Geelong a new quality low cost alternative to one of their favourite holiday spots,” Mr Giddings said of the inaugural flight.
Citilink’s all-inclusive fares begin at $289 one way. Taxes, 20kg luggage and meal are included in this fare and, until the end of March 2020, surfboards are included for free.**
