Oceania Cruises’ Riviera to debut down under

Oceania Cruises’ luxury small ship Riviera will make its long-awaited debut in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific for the 2025–2026 season, offering a collection of immersive itineraries and unforgettable culinary experiences across the region.

Carrying just 1,250 guests, Riviera is the only Oceania Cruises ship set to sail in the region next season, featuring specially curated itineraries designed for foodies and culture seekers alike. The 2026 summer season will run from November 2025 to March 2026, with voyages ranging from 14 to 35 days departing from Sydney, Auckland, Bali, Singapore and Papeete.

Itineraries will explore iconic ports including Sydney and Auckland, as well as lesser-known gems like Mystery Island, Kangaroo Island, Nuku’alofa and Alofi. Riviera’s small-group shore excursions include visits to local markets, truffle farms, and culinary hotspots, along with the line’s signature Culinary Discovery Tours™, guided by expert chefs.

A ship made for gourmands and explorers

At the heart of Riviera is The Culinary Center, where guests can take part in hands-on cooking classes inspired by the destinations they’re visiting. A new class for 2025–2026, “Down Under Abundance,” will highlight regional ingredients from Australia and New Zealand in a celebration of sea, land and vineyard bounty.

The ship also features a diverse range of gourmet dining venues, from French and Italian to pan-Asian and steakhouse favourites. Guests can enjoy experiences like high tea in Horizons, terrace dining under the stars, or relaxed meals at Waves Grill.

Additional onboard offerings include the Artist Loft, Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center, a fitness studio, creative workshops and enrichment programs.

Deeper discovery through pre- and post-cruise journeys

Travellers can extend their holiday with bespoke pre- and post-cruise land programs. Options include a scenic escape to the Blue Mountains with a guided Dreamtime walk, or a Great Barrier Island adventure from Auckland featuring star-gazing, fishing and cultural exploration.
