New boutique stays on the coast and in wine country
On the Central Oregon Coast, two new boutique properties are making waves in Newport. The Louie Motel channels retro rock-’n’-roll energy, with each suite themed around music legends and fitted with turntables and Tivoli radios. A short stroll away, The Allred offers ocean-view luxury, complete with private balconies and a stylish lobby restaurant and bar serving seasonal bites and craft cocktails.

Car-free access to Oregon’s coast and Columbia River Gorge
Eco-conscious transport is getting a boost with the launch of the North Coast Express shuttle. Running from the Portland metro area, it offers hop-on, hop-off access to popular stops including Astoria, Seaside, Cannon Beach, Rockaway and Tillamook – surfboards welcome.
In the Columbia River Gorge, visitors can now leave the car behind thanks to multiple shuttle services from Portland to Hood River.
