OUTRIGGER has upgraded its Fiji Beach Resort, including the introduction of two new accommodation options: traditional Plantation Pool Bures and luxurious Resort View Courtyards. Other property developments include a floating playground and renovations to its main pool area.
Plantation Bures
Plantation Bures are the ideal retreat for travellers wanting a relaxing experience, especially couples. The seven new bures take inspiration from traditional Fijian design, integrating elements such as thatched roofing and tapa ceilings.
The bures also feature private terraces with a pool to integrate an authentic cultural experience with a taste of luxury. Each bure can house up to four guests, and stays can involve the following amenities:
- VIP check-in
- Wine and canapés
- Turndown service including liqueur and desserts
- Daily Talai Butler service
- One high tea
- Housekeeping
- Coffee machine
- Laundry service
- Wi-Fi
- VIP cocktail party
- Entertainment options including chromecasting
Resort View Courtyards
The hotel’s 19 new Resort View Courtyards, located in their Malevu wing, make the perfect family retreat.
The rooms measure nearly 50-square-metres, with a 19-square-metre courtyard providing peace and serenity for guests. The courtyard affords guests spectacular views of the tropical surrounds, or the chance to simply enjoy a quiet relaxation session across the shaded loungers, table, or chairs.
While Resort View Courtyards can typically accommodate up to four guests, six of the new rooms allow for interconnection to accommodate larger groups.

Other upgrades
OUTRIGGER has also announced changes to its main pool area, including an exciting new floating playground designed to improve the resort’s family appeal. These changes come as part of a company strategy to strengthen guest experiences in the wedding, family, and romance holiday markets.
Ben Johnson, the Area Director of Sales and Marketing at Fiji Islands, is excited for investment in, and reinvention of, the OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort. Mr Johnson anticipates that the changes will strengthen guest experience, and also emphasises the resort’s strong connection to culture, stating that the ‘OUTRIGGER Fiji beautifully positioned on the Coral Coast is authentically Fijian and is where [they] celebrate the Bula Spirit every moment of every day’.
