Palau Visitor Authority is offering Australian travel agents exclusive self-famil deals, giving advisors a direct way to experience the destination firsthand, timed alongside Qantas doubling its direct Brisbane to Palau services from December 2026.
Agents can access exclusive self-famil deals now

Thanks to Palau Visitor Authority’s local partners, a range of self-famil offers is now available exclusively to travel agents. Agents who didn’t get a chance to sign up at a recent industry event can register their interest via a dedicated form, after which the relevant offers will be sent directly. Experiencing the destination firsthand is one of the best ways for agents to build genuine selling confidence. Before travelling, agents are also asked to complete Palau’s mandatory entry form, required of all visitors ahead of arrival.
Palau’s drawcards for agents to explore during a self-famil include hiking, kayaking, waterfalls and hidden caves for adventure-focused clients; WWII historical sites for history-minded travellers; and some of the world’s most notable diving and snorkelling experiences for underwater enthusiasts.
Sustainability commitment shapes the visitor experience

Palau is positioned as a leader in sustainable tourism. In 2017 it launched the Palau Pledge, a world-first commitment that every visitor takes upon arrival, promising to protect the natural environment and respect local traditions for the benefit of future generations of Palauans. The country has also mandated reusable food and water containers for operators, banned reef-toxic sunscreen, and developed a marine sanctuary.
Expanded Qantas schedule supports growing agent opportunity

The self-famil push coincides with Qantas doubling its Palau Paradise Express service from one to two weekly Brisbane-Palau flights from December 2026, following a quadrupling of Australian visitation since the route launched in December 2024. The added frequency gives agents more flexibility to sell four or five-night trips alongside the existing eight-night option, with Palau just a six-hour direct flight from Brisbane.
For agents looking to build Palau into their Pacific offering, the combination of a firsthand self-famil opportunity and expanded flight access gives a timely reason to prioritise the destination ahead of the December schedule change.
