With Queensland opening its borders to the rest of NSW and the whole of Victoria on 1 December 2020, Qantas and Jetstar have announced they will operate more than 1200 extra return flights into the Sunshine State from both states in the lead-up to Christmas.
Currently operating only 36 return flights per week ex Sydney, from 1 December the two airlines will operate more than 250 return flights per week across seven routes from Sydney.
Pending a final decision from the Queensland Government regarding the state opening its borders to Victoria, expected today, Qantas and Jetstar will also operate more than 160 flights per week from Melbourne from 1 December.
