Qantas and Oman Air partnership unlocks more reward seats

Qantas Frequent Flyers are set to enjoy even more travel perks with the airline’s new partnership with Oman Air, offering access to additional international reward seats and new destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

This latest collaboration expands the range of destinations available to Qantas members, adding to the already impressive 1,200 destinations worldwide.

Andrew Glance, CEO of Qantas Loyalty, shared the excitement: “We know our members love using their points for international reward seats, with record redemptions over the past year. The partnership with Oman Air will unlock tens of thousands of seats to destinations like London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Milan. This is fantastic news for members looking to explore new horizons.”

Based in Muscat, Oman Air is a full-service airline flying to over 40 global destinations, including key hubs like London, Paris, and Dubai. The airline boasts a fleet of 35 aircraft, including state-of-the-art 787 Dreamliners, and offers a premium travel experience across its Business Studio, Business, and Economy cabins. The spacious Business Studio suites, equipped with lie-flat seating, privacy walls, and complimentary Wi-Fi, will be available to Qantas Frequent Flyers from early 2025.

Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership and Oman Air’s upcoming membership in the oneworld alliance. “We’re thrilled to partner with Qantas and introduce their Frequent Flyers to Oman’s stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage. As a gateway to Europe, the Middle East, and beyond, Oman offers a unique and unforgettable experience,” he said.

Travellers can start booking Oman Air reward seats via Qantas Frequent Flyer today, with Business Studio seats becoming available in early 2025. This partnership also extends to Oman’s hotel offerings, with Qantas Frequent Flyers able to use points for stays through Qantas Hotels.

For travellers eyeing international destinations, this partnership opens up new possibilities for affordable, points-based travel. Whether planning a stopover in Oman or flying onwards to Europe, Qantas Frequent Flyers can look forward to more rewards and unforgettable journeys.
