Qantas first ever ‘Travel Week’ sale discounts 60 international routes

Qantas has unveiled its inaugural ‘Travel Week’ sale, offering Australian travellers significant discounts on over 20,000 seats across 60 international routes.

The eight-day sale features popular destinations including Japan, the USA, Canada, and New Zealand, with travel dates available throughout 2025, including the October school holiday period.

Unmissable international fares

The Travel Week sale includes discounted fares starting from $539 return to Christchurch, with competitive deals on other sought-after routes such as Honolulu, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. Travellers can book both cash fares and the new Classic Plus reward seats, enabling Qantas Frequent Flyers to redeem points for sale fares eligible for upgrades.

Highlights of the sale include:

  • Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane to Tokyo (Haneda and Narita) from $1,149 return.
  • Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane to Los Angeles from $1,199 return.
  • Sydney to New York from $1,699 return.
  • Melbourne to Queenstown from $549 return.
  • Brisbane to Christchurch from $569 return.

All Qantas fares include checked baggage, complimentary food and beverages, and seat selection, ensuring value and comfort for international travel.

Reward seat opportunities

The sale also incorporates Qantas’ recently launched Classic Plus reward seats. Frequent Flyers can use their points to secure fares during the Travel Week sale, with return Classic Plus fares starting at:

  • 53,500 points for Sydney to Tokyo (Economy).
  • 41,700 points for Brisbane to Auckland (Premium Economy).
  • 467,100 points for Melbourne to Dallas (Business).

Classic Plus fares include a cash component to cover taxes, fees, and carrier charges.

Sale fares are available until 11:59 pm (AEDT) on Wednesday, 4 December 2024, or until sold out. Travel dates range from January to October 2025, with some blackout periods.
