Qantas has kicked off a major international airfare sale, with over 350,000 seats discounted across more than 30 global routes. The week-long sale features return economy fares from as low as $499, giving Australian travellers—and the travel trade—a timely opportunity to book school holiday getaways and international escapes through to May 2026.
Launched on 29 July 2025, the sale includes popular destinations in Asia, the Americas, the United Kingdom, Africa, and the Pacific. Standout fares include return flights from Melbourne to Christchurch from $499, and discounted seats to Los Angeles, Dallas, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Singapore, and Bali.
Travel during peak holiday periods and global events
The sale applies to various travel periods between July 2025 and May 2026, including key Australian school holiday windows such as summer, Easter, and the September–October break. Travellers can also time their trips with major international events, including:
- Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival from 24–26 October 2025
- Disneyland’s 70th anniversary and the opening of the DATALAND AI Arts Museum in Los Angeles
- NFL season and State Fair of Texas in Dallas, alongside the Riverfront Jazz Festival in August

Earn up to 50,000 bonus Qantas Points
Qantas Frequent Flyers can maximise their rewards by booking through Qantas Hotels and Holidays. Members will earn up to 50,000 bonus points in addition to the standard 3 points per $1 spent, when they book by Monday 4 August.
Deals include:
- Three-night stay for two from $949 at Harbour Grand Kowloon, Hong Kong
- Three-night stay for two from $989 at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground, California
- Four-night package including flights from Sydney from $6,718 at Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort, Hawaii

Qantas sale fares include checked baggage and complimentary meals and drinks, and are available to book until 11:59 AEST, Monday 4 August, unless sold out earlier.
