Qatar Airways has announced it will increase its services to Manchester, UK, with three additional weekly flights commencing 4 June 2025.
The move comes in response to rising demand ahead of the Northern Hemisphere summer and will boost the total number of weekly flights to 24.
The expanded schedule will be operated using Qatar Airways’ modern Airbus A350-1000s and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, connecting passengers to Manchester via Hamad International Airport in Doha – voted the World’s Best Airport and home to the World’s Best Airport Shopping by Skytrax in 2024.
Enhancing connectivity between Australia and the UK
The added frequencies not only strengthen the airline’s global network but also enhance the vital travel corridor between Australia and the UK. Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, said the expansion reflects growing global demand for seamless travel options.
“Qatar Airways’ increase in flights to Manchester comes as part of enhancing connectivity from all over the world to the ‘Capital of the North’,” said Mr Antinori.
“We are also proud to facilitate connectivity and capacity between the UK and Australia – two significant markets for global travel.”
A gateway to northern England
Known for its iconic football culture, Victorian architecture, and influential music and arts scenes, Manchester remains a key destination for both leisure and business travellers. The city has been part of Qatar Airways’ network since 2003 and continues to be an important gateway to the UK’s north.
