Quest Apartment Hotels has begun construction on Quest Elizabeth, an 87-room property in Adelaide’s northern corridor, with the development expected to open in March 2028.
Property targets defence and corporate accommodation demand

Located on the corner of Main North Road and Prince Charles Street, Quest Elizabeth will feature standalone studios and two-bedroom twin-key apartments, including three DDA-compliant accessible rooms. The property will include The Pantry café, conference facilities and a gym, and sits within walking distance of Elizabeth Shopping Centre’s cinema, dining and retail options.
The hotel’s catchment includes major employment precincts such as the Edinburgh Defence Precinct, RAAF Base Edinburgh and Edinburgh Parks, positioning it to capture demand from visiting professionals, project teams, contractors, and corporate and government travellers working across defence, advanced manufacturing, logistics, education and health sectors in Adelaide’s northern economic corridor.
Development reflects investment confidence in Adelaide’s north

The property is being developed, built and owned by Emmett, with architecture and interior design led by Matthews Architects. David Mansfield, managing director of The Ascott Limited Australasia, said the entry into the Elizabeth market reflects confidence in the region’s growth trajectory. “When an established accommodation brand like Quest Apartment Hotels chooses to enter a market, it says something about where that market is headed. We see strong economic fundamentals, genuine accommodation demand and real momentum across Adelaide’s north,” Mansfield said.
Glenn Docherty, Mayor of Playford, said the development signals confidence in the broader region. “Quest’s presence will contribute to the continued growth of a thriving and vibrant Elizabeth CBD and further strengthen the city’s appeal as a destination for visitors, businesses and the local community,” Docherty said.
For corporate travel bookers and agents managing accommodation for clients working in defence and industrial sectors around northern Adelaide, the new property adds branded, self-contained apartment-style inventory to a market with limited existing quality accommodation supply, ahead of its 2028 opening.
