Regent Seven Seas Cruises has celebrated the float-out of Seven Seas Prestige, the first vessel in its new Prestige-class and the cruise line’s first new ship class in 10 years.
The ship touched water for the first time on 27 November at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, marking a significant construction milestone ahead of its debut in December 2026.
The float-out ceremony included traditional maritime blessings, the breaking of a champagne bottle against the hull, and remarks acknowledging the long-standing partnership between Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Fincantieri.
With this phase complete, designers will now begin outfitting the ship’s suites, lounges and restaurants, including the all-new Skyview Regent Suite — set to be the largest all-inclusive, ultra-luxury cruise ship suite ever built.
New era of ultra-luxury cruising

Seven Seas Prestige will become the seventh ship in Regent’s fleet and the first of three Prestige-class vessels, with additional ships scheduled for 2030 and 2033. At 76,550 tons and accommodating 822 guests with 630 crew, the vessel will deliver one of the highest space-to-guest ratios at sea, offering expanded suites, new suite categories, and elevated public spaces.
Across its inaugural season, the ship will operate 13 itineraries spanning Europe and the Caribbean, with voyages ranging from 10 to 15 nights. Highlights include two transatlantic crossings, overnight stays in culturally rich ports such as London, Lisbon and Bordeaux, and calls to destinations including Harvest Caye in Belize and the Panama Canal.
Regent’s all-inclusive offering continues aboard Seven Seas Prestige, covering unlimited shore excursions, speciality dining, fine wines and spirits, Starlink Wi-Fi, entertainment, and a pre-cruise hotel night for Concierge-level guests and above.
