Rendez-vous Canada (RVC+) has wrapped up for 2021, this year taking the event virtual as travel restrictions due to global pandemic still remain in place.
Nearly 1300 delegates registered for the event, including some 490 international and domestic buyers. These delegates stepped into a virtual conference space where they engaged in 20 minute video meetings in addition to visiting virtual stands. There were over 21,000 pre-scheduled virtual business appointments during RVC between buyers and Canadian sellers.
There were 104 buyers from Canada, followed by China with 79 and the UK with 50. From other DC Markets, the US has 50 buyers registered, followed by Japan with 41 buyers, Germany 43, France 21, Mexico 15, Australia 19, and the Netherlands 14.
Destination Canada GSA Managing Director, Donna Campbell, said “The new virtual format of Rendez-vous Canada (RVC+) was a phenomenal success, cementing its reputation as Canada’s premier marketplace for the tourism industry.”
