Rendez-vous en France 2025 highlights French tourism excellence

The 18th edition of Rendez-vous en France, France’s premier international travel trade show, successfully concluded in Lyon and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region on 1–2 April 2025.

Organised by Atout France, the event brought together nearly 2,000 tourism professionals, including 845 international buyers from 62 countries and 704 French exhibitors representing hotels, attractions, service providers, and regional tourism organisations.

Impressive business engagements

The trade show facilitated over 28,000 pre-scheduled business meetings, underscoring its role as a hub for international tourism collaboration. Additionally, 53 familiarisation tours allowed 400 international tour operators to experience firsthand the diverse offerings of French destinations, enhancing their capacity to promote France in their respective markets.

Focus on sustainability

Rendez-vous en France 2025 emphasised sustainable tourism, highlighting initiatives such as soft mobility solutions and the sustainable management of visitor flows. This focus aligns with France’s commitment to promoting responsible and environmentally friendly travel experiences.

Australian and new zealand participation

Atout France’s Sydney office invited ten tour operators from Australia and New Zealand, strengthening ties with these key markets. Participants explored regions including Occitanie, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, gaining deeper insights into France’s year-round tourism potential.

Collaborative partnerships

The success of the event was bolstered by collaborations with partners such as Air France, regional tourism organisations, Paris Je T’aime (Paris Tourism Board), ONLYLYON Tourisme et Congrès, and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Tourisme. These partnerships contributed to positioning France as a leading and responsible travel destination.
