Riviera Travel River Cruises has announced that all guests on its cruises must be fully vaccinated against COVID, or present a negative test prior to travel, and any guest who has not had both doses of the vaccine will be offered a complimentary COVID test to allow them to commence the cruise.
The requirements will also apply to crew members who will have additional daily temperature checks and ongoing health screenings.
Under the new policy, guests need to have had both doses of the COVID vaccine, with the second dose a minimum of seven days prior to travel. Any guest who tests positive prior to their cruise will be able to transfer their booking to an alternative date, free of charge.
Riviera Travel International Sales Manager, Shelley Davey, said the new protective policies were designed to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the company’s guests and crew and the places across Europe their ships visited.
Ms Davey said: “We’ve always prided ourselves on our health and safety record but these new measures, combined with our comprehensive Covid protocols, will add another layer of precaution and safety so that guests can look forward to their Riviera Travel cruise with confidence.”
