Tauck has launched bookings for Roam by Tauck, its newest small-group travel brand designed specifically for travellers in their 40s and 50s. Following the company’s centennial celebrations, the new brand will debut five curated itineraries in 2026 across Europe, Mexico and the United States, with plans to expand to 12 itineraries by 2027.
Roam by Tauck aims to fill a gap in the premium market for travellers seeking a guided experience with added flexibility, balancing structured sightseeing with independent exploration. Early feedback from advisors has indicated strong demand for a product that blends Tauck’s long-standing expertise with a more contemporary, less formal style of travel.
Distinctive small-group journeys for 2026
Each Roam by Tauck itinerary features VIP access experiences, immersive Signature Moments and premium accommodation. Groups average just 16 guests, following a “half-on, half-off” approach that includes curated touring alongside generous free time.
The five itineraries launching in 2026 include:
- Mexico City & San Miguel de Allende: A seven-day cultural journey with options such as e-bike touring, taco trails, a private cooking class and a sunrise balloon flight over Teotihuacan.
- Bordeaux & The Dordogne: An eight-day culinary and cultural itinerary featuring wine tasting, village exploration and a private-car day for independent touring.
- San Sebastián & Rioja: A seven-day active itinerary including biking through Rioja, salt-valley touring and dining with a Michelin-starred chef.
- Prague & The Danube: A 10-day land and river journey from Prague through Austria and Hungary aboard ms Savor, with highlights such as a private Viennese waltz lesson.
- Porto & The Douro Valley: An eight-day cruise on ms Andorinha featuring port tastings, culinary experiences and an exclusive night visit to the Côa Valley rock art sites.
All itineraries include accommodation, gratuities, transfers, luggage handling, and guided touring, with first departures scheduled for August 2026.
Expansion plans for 2027
Roam by Tauck will introduce seven more itineraries in 2027, expanding into destinations such as Iceland, New Zealand, Italy, South Africa, Mozambique and Japan. Full program details will be released in spring 2026.
