Sabi Sabi is set to expand its celebrated luxury hospitality brand beyond the bush with the opening of The Claremont, a new boutique hotel in Cape Town.
Officially opening its doors on 1 October, The Claremont is housed in a 1928 heritage manor in the leafy suburb of Claremont and marks the group’s first venture into urban accommodation.
This intimate property—featuring just 15 rooms—joins The Sabi Sabi Collection and brings with it the same sensibility the brand is known for: a deep respect for place, a connection to history, and exceptional service. The Manor House, designed by pioneering South African architect Magdalena Gertrude Sauer, remains a beautiful expression of Cape Dutch architecture, combining timeless elegance with contemporary comfort.

Guests can choose between Deluxe Rooms, Classic Rooms, and the private Sauer Villa. Each space is designed to embrace the manor’s original features—timber floors, sash windows, gables catching the afternoon sun—while offering modern amenities and calm views of the surrounding gardens or poolside greenery.
