Samoa Tourism Exchange opens in Apia

Samoa Tourism Exchange 2026 has officially opened in Apia, bringing travel agents, buyers, partners and industry leaders together for a week of business, networking and destination updates.

Samoa welcomes trade partners

The event kicked off last night with an opening ceremony at Taumeasina Island Resort, where delegates were welcomed to Samoa for the annual tourism trade program.

Samoa’s Minister of Tourism, Hon. Fata Ryan Schuster, joined the Samoa Tourism Authority Board of Directors and tourism industry representatives at the opening event, which marked the start of a week focused on strengthening trade relationships and showcasing the destination.

The Samoa Tourism Authority thanked participants, sponsors and partners for their ongoing support and commitment to the growth of Samoa’s tourism sector.

Famils highlight Samoa product

Travel agents and buyers have already taken part in pre-familiarisation programs, giving them the opportunity to experience Samoa’s tourism product first-hand before the main exchange program.

Post-event famils will also take place, allowing trade partners to explore more of Samoa and deepen their destination knowledge across accommodation, touring, culture and visitor experiences.

For Australian travel agents and wholesalers, the exchange provides a valuable opportunity to reconnect with Samoa suppliers, update product knowledge and identify new selling opportunities for clients seeking Pacific island holidays.

Stephanie Clarke, Travel Manager at Sportslink Travel, said, “It’s been amazing to see Samoa showcase all that they have to offer. The local people here are so beautiful and proud of their special island. It’s been great connecting with so many people from all aspects of the travel industry.”

Travel Monitor reporting live

Travel Monitor is on the ground in Samoa and will be reporting live from Samoa Tourism Exchange throughout the week, with updates from the event, interviews and destination insights for the Australian travel trade.

The exchange comes as Samoa continues to work closely with its trade partners to build awareness, support distribution and encourage visitation across its tourism industry.
