The Samoa Tourism Board hosted the Samoa Roadshow in Brisbane last night where travel agents met we suppliers and resorts across Samoa to learn more about the South Pacific island nation.
One year on from reopening boarders after closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the messaging was clear – that Samoa is welcoming travellers and ‘Beautiful is Back’.
Showcase all that is beautiful in Samoa was Savai’i Tourism, American Samoa, a large contingency of Samoan resorts, lodges and hotels and the airlines that fly to Samoa – Virgin Australia and Fiji Airways.
One year on from her appointment as Samoa Tourism Authority CEO, Pativaine Reita Petaia, welcomed travel agents to the event and spoke about Samoa Tourism’s work over the past year, specifically natural tourism and the increased tourism offerings they have made more convenient and accessible for visitors.

“The sheer beauty of what our country has, that we are willing to share with Australians,” Pativaine Reita Petaia said.
“We found sites that were so beautiful, very peaceful and serene that you can sit there for hours and listen to the bird’ calls and sounds and relax while enjoying the view,” Pativaine Reita Petaia added.
“Our people make a big part of our culture,” Pativaine Reita Petaia continued, describing them as the most hospitable people.
“We give the best to our guests, to our visitors. We love welcoming people – it is when the best of what we have comes out and the best of the Samoan people.”

In addition to reminding the travel agents that ‘Beautiful is Back’ in Samoa, Samoa Tourism Authority Sales Marketing Manager Australia, Fasitau Ula, reminded agents to get trained on the destination with the Agent Samoa Specialist Program.
