Save up to $2000 on Outback Spirit in 2027

Outback Spirit has unveiled its 2027 pre-release program, giving travellers first access to its flagship small-group outback adventures along with early-bird savings of up to $2,000 per person.

The collection includes 11 returning favourites and two new short-break itineraries, with bookings now open for travel across some of Australia’s most remote and culturally rich regions.

New tours for 2027

Two new itineraries join the program, both designed to complement Journey Beyond’s Great Southern rail journey or to be enjoyed as standalone escapes.

• Seven-day Queensland Hinterland Spectacular – From $6,490pp (Gold Twin) with savings up to $800pp. Guests pair the Great Southern rail journey with time in Tamborine Mountain and Lamington National Park, staying at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat and Spicers Hidden Vale.
• Eight-day Spectacular Kangaroo Island – From $7,690pp (Gold Twin) with savings up to $900pp. Travellers enjoy a rail journey from Brisbane to Adelaide, then explore Kangaroo Island’s wildlife, dramatic coastlines and the Fleurieu Peninsula’s culinary scene.

Both are also available as shorter land-only versions — the five-day Queensland Hinterland Explorer and five-day Kangaroo Island Wildlife & Wilderness, each offering savings of up to $500pp.

Executive General Manager Jacquie Burnside said the pre-release allows travellers to secure their preferred dates during Outback Spirit’s busiest season while enjoying significant savings. She added that the new itineraries showcase fresh regions — from Queensland’s lush hinterland to South Australia’s Kangaroo Island — offering new ways to experience Australia’s diverse landscapes.
