Scenic Eclipse Antarctica and Arctic voyages for 2025/2026

Scenic has announced an exciting lineup of ultra-luxury discovery voyages aboard its Scenic Eclipse Discovery Yachts, designed to explore the remote polar regions of Antarctica and the Arctic in 2025, 2026, and 2027.

With state-of-the-art technology, a Polar Class 6 rating, two helicopters, a submersible, and world-class facilities, Scenic Eclipse promises unrivalled experiences in some of the most remote destinations on Earth.

Special Getaway episode features Scenic Eclipse Antarctica expeditions

A special one-hour episode of Getaway will air on Channel 9 on 7 December at 5:00 pm, showcasing Scenic Eclipse’s Antarctica expeditions. Award-winning filmmakers David Adams and Tina Dalton will journey aboard Scenic Eclipse to explore the dramatic landscapes of Antarctica, South Georgia, and the Falkland Islands, offering viewers a taste of these extraordinary voyages.

Exclusive access to Snow Hill Island

Scenic Eclipse will once again offer its highly sought-after helicopter excursions to Snow Hill Island during the early Antarctic season in 2025 and 2026. Guests will experience close encounters with one of the world’s largest Emperor penguin colonies, with up to 4,000 breeding pairs. The excursions, led by Scenic’s expert Discovery Team, are available on six departures between October and December, providing an unparalleled adventure in the Weddell Sea.

East Antarctica and Mawson’s Huts aboard Scenic Eclipse II

In December 2025, Scenic Eclipse II will begin its second season of exclusive voyages to East Antarctica and the Ross Sea, sailing routes between Queenstown, Dunedin, and Hobart. Guests on the 13 December 2025 departure will enjoy a helicopter shuttle to the historic Mawson’s Huts, remnants of early Antarctic exploration.

In January and February 2026, two departures will offer guests the chance to visit the McMurdo Dry Valleys, a striking and ice-free region of Antarctica accessible only by helicopter. This otherworldly landscape offers an experience unlike any other, resembling the surface of Mars.

Arctic expeditions with Northern Lights and culinary adventures

In the Arctic, Scenic Eclipse will offer a 16-day Norwegian Fjords & Crossing the Arctic Circle voyage, departing 27 August 2025, giving guests a chance to witness the Northern Lights, weather permitting. Additionally, the 11-day Taste of Discovery: Iceland & the Arctic Circle voyage, departing 15 July 2025, will feature an exclusive culinary experience curated by celebrity chef Bryan Voltaggio, including cooking demonstrations, tastings, and special dining events.

The ultimate in ultra-luxury and discovery

Scenic Eclipse offers an all-inclusive experience with spacious verandah suites featuring personalised butler service, up to 10 dining venues, and nine bars and lounges. Guests can relax at the 550sqm Senses Spa, equipped with cutting-edge facilities including an infrared sauna, therapeutic pressure showers, and a KLAFS Salt Therapy Lounge. Active travellers can enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, and Zodiac excursions, alongside exclusive flightseeing experiences aboard the yacht’s two helicopters and submersible dives.

Jason Flesher, Scenic’s Director of Discovery Operations, emphasised the uniqueness of Scenic Eclipse.
