Scenic Discovery Yachts has launched its fifth season in Antarctica, marking another milestone for the award-winning cruise operator that first began exploring the White Continent in 2019.
The 2025/26 season introduces a suite of innovations designed to redefine expedition cruising, including a new Scenic Neptune submersible, exclusive helicopter excursions and the introduction of private jet transfers from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia.
Pioneering the next era of ultra-luxury polar exploration
Purpose-built for polar discovery, Scenic Eclipse and Scenic Eclipse II carry a maximum of 200 guests, offering a truly intimate experience. Each yacht is equipped with two helicopters, a submersible, Zodiacs and kayaks, allowing travellers to explore Antarctica from every perspective — soaring over glaciers, diving beneath the surface or cruising among icebergs.
This season’s highlights include helicopter landings at the Emperor penguin colony on Snow Hill Island, one of the most exclusive wildlife encounters available in Antarctica. Meanwhile, Scenic Eclipse II will explore East Antarctica and the Ross Sea, with itineraries featuring historic huts, vast ice shelves and encounters with the world’s largest Adélie penguin colonies.
Seamless travel and elevated comfort
All voyages include transfers and a commercial flight from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, with an optional upgrade to private jet transfers available for 2026/27 and beyond. Guests boarding the private jet from a dedicated terminal enjoy priority check-in, in-flight Wi-Fi and a journey shared with no more than 10 travellers.
Scenic’s all-inclusive approach extends to onboard life, with up to 10 dining experiences, eight bars and lounges, a theatre, wellness facilities, and spacious suites complete with butler service — creating a luxurious retreat after a day of exploration.
