Scoot will launch three-times-weekly flights to Guiyang in China’s Guizhou province from 26 October 2026, with one-way economy fares from Australia starting at $270, as part of a broader capacity increase across its Asia-Pacific network.
New route grows Scoot’s China footprint

Guiyang will be operated using Airbus A320neo aircraft, taking Scoot’s China network to 81 weekly flights across 16 cities. Fares start from $270 one-way from Perth and $300 from Sydney and Melbourne, inclusive of taxes, with bookings now open via Scoot’s website and app.
With the new route added, Scoot’s total network will grow to 86 destinations across 18 countries and territories spanning the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Europe. Guiyang gives Australian travellers direct access to a lesser-flown Chinese destination known for attractions including Qingyan Ancient Town and Huangguoshu Waterfall, offering agents a point of difference for clients seeking alternatives to established Chinese gateway cities.
Frequency increases target year-end demand

As part of its Northern Winter 2026/2027 schedule, running from 26 October 2026 to 29 April 2027, Scoot is increasing frequencies across several Southeast Asian and regional routes. Hat Yai moves from 12 to 14 weekly flights, Phuket from 17 to 21, Okinawa from four to five, while Clark increases from seven to 10 weekly flights from December 2026, Kota Kinabalu from 10 to 13 weekly flights from January 2027, and Tiruchirappalli from 12 to 14 weekly flights from December 2026. Phu Quoc will move to daily flights with a gradual upgauge from Embraer E190-E2 to Airbus A320 family aircraft.
Leslie Thng, Scoot’s chief executive, said the additions reflect the airline’s ongoing network growth ahead of peak year-end travel demand. For agents selling Asia-Pacific leisure and VFR travel, the frequency increases add booking flexibility across several established markets during the northern winter period, alongside the new China gateway.
