Singapore Airlines has launched special fares to Singapore for customers departing Sydney Kingsford Smith and returning into the newly opened Western Sydney International Airport, priced from $799 return including taxes.
Singapore Airlines is set to become the first international carrier at Sydney’s new 24-hour gateway. Daily non-stop flights between Singapore and Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) begin on 23 November 2026, about a month after the airport is expected to open.
The route will use the carrier’s Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft, which has 303 seats across two cabins: 40 in Business and 263 in Economy. The inaugural SQ201 departs Singapore at 11.30am and arrives at 10.20pm local time. The return SQ202 leaves WSI at 11.55pm and lands in Singapore at 5.05am the next day.
That timing is only possible because the new airport is not bound by the 11pm–6am curfew that applies at Mascot, and it feeds straight into the airline’s extensive onward network, with an especially strong focus on Asia.
Together with its four daily Kingsford Smith services, the airline will run five daily flights to Sydney and serve eight Australian destinations in total. For agents, the new service opens up a catchment of about three million people living within an hour of the airport. WSI chief executive Simon Hickey says the partnership will give travellers “more choice and flexibility on when, where, and how they choose to fly”.
Sale positions early access to new airport
The sale runs from 29 September to 5 October 2026, giving Australian travellers the opportunity to be among the first to arrive at Western Sydney International Airport. Fares apply to Economy class under V and K booking classes, with agents able to access the discounted NDC fares through their preferred NDC partner or GDS platform.
