South Sea Cruises Group has introduced Fiji’s first dedicated electric coaches for island day trips and resort transfers, with services commencing in October 2026 in partnership with ground operator Tour Managers.
Coaches to service Denarau and Nadi transfers

The two 50-seat electric coaches, owned and operated by Tour Managers, will provide year-round ground transportation for South Sea Cruises Group to and from Port Denarau. Both vehicles carry South Sea Cruises Group livery, making them identifiable for day-trip and resort-transfer customers being picked up or dropped off across the Nadi and Denarau hotel and resort areas.
South Sea Cruises Group chief executive Brad Rutherford said the introduction reflected a shared sustainability commitment with Tour Managers. “We are proud to partner with Tour Managers to invest in a solution that supports Fiji’s environmental efforts while providing our customers, as well as the hotels and resorts we service, with modern, comfortable and more environmentally friendly coach transfers,” Rutherford said.
Introduction marks first phase of fleet replacement

Tour Managers’ parent company Kimaya Fiji managing director Damend Gounder said the electric coaches extended a coaching partnership between the two companies dating back nearly 20 years. “These first two electric coaches are just the beginning of an extensive fleet replacement programme across the South Sea Cruises Group and Tour Managers branded fleets,” Gounder said.
The zero-emission, lower-noise vehicles are designed to improve the transfer experience within hotel and resort premises and while idle at Port Denarau.
