Sun Island Tours completes Egypt famil for nine agents

Sun Island Tours hosted nine travel agents from across Australia on its 8-day Magnificent Nile itinerary, covering Cairo, Luxor, Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan and Abu Simbel, including a 4-day luxury Nile River cruise.

Famil reassures agents on ground safety

The trip included visits to the Giza Pyramids, Karnak Temple and the new Grand Egyptian Museum, guided by Egyptologists and Sun Island Tours’ Egypt-based ground supplier, a relationship the operator has maintained for more than 30 years. Several attending agents highlighted the sense of safety and support provided throughout the trip.

“To say our experience was relaxed, secure and safe is an understatement. From beginning to end, everything was taken care of,” said Mark van Huisstede, owner of italktravel & cruise, The Junction.

Sun Island Tours chief executive John Polyviou said the operator had maintained a consistent Egypt product through recent years, positioning it to respond to a renewed lift in demand.

“Egypt is entering a period of strong renewed interest, but for Sun Island Tours, Egypt has never really gone away. We have never paused selling the destination and have continued to offer one of the largest ranges of Egypt packages in the market, with departures available every day,” Polyviou said. He noted the operator also builds fully customised itineraries with private touring led by Egyptologists.
