What does your job involve?

My job involves human connections and most importantly to assist, guide, mentor and motivate our colleagues and lead a team of HR professionals to cater the needs of our employees in their talent journey with Movenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives.

What do you enjoy most about your profession?

To be able to inspire and encourage our employees and leaders while driving sustainability initiatives impacting the communities around us with all stakeholders involved.

What are the biggest challenges for you in your profession?

What do you think are the biggest challenges the industry faces?

Change Management approach and involving the right people in the change management strategies while engaging employees to execute that change at the right time. Leadership Pipeline – Prepare current and future leaders to succeed in 2020 and beyond

What do you think will be the biggest game changer in the travel industry in the next 12 months’?

Digital Transformation & Automation of HR processes i.e. defining digital transformation strategy and to identify talent-related risks and opportunities that may arise. Employee Experience – Focus on ensuring employees are more satisfied with employee experience i.e. shaping expectations, shaping day to day experience, shaping the memory of the experience.

Who inspires you most and why?

Leaders with high level of integrity, human values and strong work ethics, because we are in the business of people and dealing with their emotions, sentiments and empathy is vital more specifically in the hospitality industry and to have a leader who is inspiring and lead the team with trust while setting an example is what inspires me the most.

Who would you invite on your next holiday if you could choose anyone and where would you go?

I would like to invite my family because being on an island I do not get time to see them as often and I would take them to Paris for our next vacation.
