Tourism Fiji partners with Channel 9’s new adventure series TopKnotz

Tourism Fiji has joined forces with Channel 9 as a destination partner for TopKnotz, a new prime-time adventure show set to premiere on Channel 9 and 9Now on Thursday 27 November. The series, described as “Top Gear on water”, follows a high-profile cast including Grant Denyer, Miguel Maestre, Flick Palmateer, Tom Williams and Rob Palmer as they take on marine and water-based challenges across Australia and abroad, with Fiji playing a central role.

Fiji takes the spotlight

TopKnotz showcases the hosts as they tackle extreme activities and personal challenges, blending humour, camaraderie and authentic moments of vulnerability. The series aims to offer a fresh take on adventure television, shaped by dramatic locations and strong on-screen chemistry.

Tourism Fiji’s Regional Director for Australia, Sally-Ann Rogers, said the partnership is a natural fit, giving the destination a powerful platform to share deeper stories about its 333 islands. She noted that the collaboration supports the organisation’s broader PR and marketing strategy and aligns directly with Fiji’s adventure positioning.

Adventure and culture on screen

Fiji features prominently throughout the series, with activities that highlight the destination’s diverse marine and cultural offerings. Experiences include shark diving at Beqa, surf sessions at Cloudbreak and Tavarua, river tubing along the Navua River, a sailing journey through the Mamanuca Islands, and time at the popular Seventh Heaven floating platform. Cultural immersion is also woven into the episodes through kava ceremonies, meke performances and village visits.

Accommodation partners showcased in the series include Plantation Island Resort, Lomani Island Resort and Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay.

TopKnotz premieres on Channel 9 at 8.30pm on Thursday 27 November.
