Trafalgar’s new English Adventure tour sells out debut departure

Trafalgar has launched a new England-focused itinerary that is already proving popular with travellers, with the inaugural departure of its English Adventure tour selling out before departure.

The new 10-day journey has been designed to showcase both England’s iconic attractions and contemporary culture, offering a mix of heritage experiences, local encounters and sustainability-focused activities.

New itinerary explores modern and traditional England

The English Adventure itinerary visits 15 destinations across England, taking guests from historic university cities and market towns to major cultural centres including Manchester and Liverpool.

Highlights include punting in Cambridge, a traditional Sunday roast experience in northern England and a curry night in Nottingham that reflects the country’s multicultural culinary influences.

The itinerary also includes scenic drives through the Peak District, Yorkshire Moors and the Cotswolds, alongside visits to destinations such as Bakewell.

Local connections take centre stage

A key feature of the new tour is Trafalgar’s signature Be My Guest experience at Liverpool’s Strawberry Field, where guests enjoy afternoon tea while supporting community initiatives connected to the iconic site.

The itinerary also incorporates a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experience at the Loughborough Bell Foundry, the world’s largest working bell foundry, offering insight into the preservation of traditional craftsmanship.

Louise Levesque, Partner Marketing Director – Oceania, said the itinerary responds to changing traveller expectations.

“They want the icons, but they also want to understand the community and diversity that define the UK today,” she said.

Opportunity for travel advisors

Trafalgar said the strong early demand highlights continued interest in destination-focused touring that combines major attractions with authentic local experiences.

For travel advisors, the itinerary provides a fresh addition to UK touring portfolios, particularly for clients seeking a deeper understanding of England beyond the traditional sightseeing circuit.

The launch also reflects a broader trend towards immersive travel experiences that connect visitors with local communities, culture and heritage.
