Travel agents set sail on Bolette for scenic famil

Ten Victorian travel agents soaked up the sunshine as they cruised from Melbourne to Hobart aboard the classic British liner, Bolette. The trip was hosted by Cruise Traveller, the exclusive Australian representative for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, with business development manager Laura Stone leading the group, alongside PR representatives Andrew and Moira Mevissen.

During the voyage, agents experienced the ship’s relaxed elegance, dined at various onboard restaurants and indulged in a traditional high tea. A highlight was a visit to the Bridge, where Kim McGiffin from Travel Plus in Warragul (VIC) briefly took the captain’s chair—hat and all—before her generous offer to take over navigation was politely declined by the real captain.

Ahead of this trip, 10 Sydney-based agents had their own famil onboard Bolette, sailing from Sydney to Melbourne with Cruise Traveller’s business development manager for NSW/ACT, Julie Donaldson.

The 63,000-ton Bolette, carrying 1,300 guests, is currently mid-way through a round-the-world cruise from the UK. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines operates three traditional-style ships, offering destination-rich voyages across Europe, Scandinavia, the Caribbean and South America.
